First Aid - 1 or 4 day courses

1 Day Emergency First Aid course

This course is ideal for any work environment.  The course is designed to equip candidates with the skills they need to carry out basic emergency life saving techniques.  This course leads to an accredited qualification.

Candidates will receive training in the following units:

  1. Emergency action planning
  2. Dealing with an unconscious casualty
  3. Adult resuscitation
  4. Choking
  5. Controlling bleeding
  6. Medical emergencies

This course takes 6 hours to complete.

4 Day First Aid at Work

This course has been approved by the Health and Safety Executive and accreditation for this qualification is issued through HSE.

This course is suitable for any person that is employed by, or volunteers in a place of work.

Candidates will receive training in the following units:

  1. Aims and principles of First Aid
  2. Basic life support
  3. Management of the unconscious casualty
  4. Assessment and treatment of a casualty who is wounded, bleeding or shocked
  5. Assessment and treatment of fractures, dislocations and soft tissue injuries
  6. Assessment and treatment of common major and minor illnesses
  7. Prevention of cross-infection during First Aid procedures
  8. Emergency transport of casualties
  9. Legal aspects of First Aid: record keeping, incident reporting, use of equipment.

Course details and entry requirements

These courses are only available to groups.  Where possible, we will endeavour to match groups if required.  The minimum group size for this course is 10.  The maximum group size is 12.

The 1-day course costs £580 and includes VAT, materials, resources, tutorials and qualification.

The 4-day course costs £1550 and includes VAT, materials, resources, tutorials and qualification.
