National Certificate for Personal Licence Holder - NCPLH
The NCPLH course is designed for any person wishing to gain a Personal
Licence to sell alcohol.
This qualification satisfies the Government benchmark for demonstrating
occupational and legal knowledge to obtain a Personal Licence to sell alcohol.
It is accredited training at Level 2 of the NDAQ.
The qualification consists of the following units:
- Roles and legal responsibilities of the personal licence holder
- The application process for the personal licence
- Roles and responsibilities of the licensing authorities with the licensing
objectives framework
- Content and purpose of operating schedules
- Role and duties of the Designated Premises Supervisor
- Unauthorised and Temporary licensable activities
- Rights of entry to licensed premises
- Police powers regarding suspension and closure of licensed premises
- Strengths of alcoholic drinks and ABV
- Protection of children from harm
- Responsible sale of alcohol

Course details and entry requirements
The course lasts one day and includes a 40 minute, 40 multiple choice
question examination.
There is an age restriction on this course. The minimum age to complete
this course is 18 years of age.
The cost of this course is £129.25 per candidate and includes VAT, materials,
