Assessment informationTo gain the certificate in providing security services you must be working as a security officer and aged 18 or more. A licence to practice from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) is highly advantageous, though not necessary for some employees (local authority officers). The qualification is entirely assessment based so there are no exams. We will come to your work place and assess you doing the job. No problem. We will support you to achieve this qualification that is highly sought in the Private Security Sector. Awarding BodyEdexcel is the Awarding Body for this qualification. Once you have successfully completed the programme you will gain a Level 2 Certificate in Providing Security Services from EDEXCEL. This is nationally recognised so you can take it anywhere in the United Kingdom and it will prove to employers you are a trained and professional security officer.
